Meet Emily Kuzma, an NKU alumni, who graduated with a master鈥檚 of nursing through our online nursing program.

Kuzma chose NKU because of the flexibility the program offers.

鈥淸NKU] allowed for enough flexibility to manage my work and family schedule and also provided a bridge option for me to transition to MSN with my ASN and nursing license and a bachelor's degree in another field. This saved me tens of thousands of dollars in obtaining a second bachelor's that I would not have used,鈥 Kuzma said.

Kuzma received a job offer prior to her graduation.

鈥淲ith my new degree and training that I got through NKU, I have been able to expand the facility's dual-diagnosis services, which has helped to retain patients in treatment. I look forward to continuing to help close the care gap that these patients often fall into,鈥 Kuzma said.

When asked what piece of advice she would give to someone who is interested in the MSN program, Kuzma said that organization is key.

鈥淕et a really good organization system in place. Manage your expectations in terms of what you will be able to handle outside of your program and other commitments. Expect some sacrifices. Finally, don't be afraid to slow down if you need to. There's a lot to accomplish and a lot of information to cover and retention is going to be more key to passing boards than how fast you鈥檝e covered the material,鈥 Kuzma said.

Financial Aid, Tuition & Fees

Several options are available to finance your graduate degree.聽 Financial aid is available for any degree-seeking student who has been fully admitted into a graduate degree program, as well as for students who have been admitted to the first term provisionally.聽

Thesis, Dissertation & Capstone

After successful completion of the program requirements for the dissertation/thesis/project and after the committee has indicated the student has passed, the student should make all required changes to the document (if applicable to the student鈥檚 particular work).

Graduation & Commencement

Commencement聽exercises at 九色视频 are held in both May and December. The December ceremony is for students completing degree requirements in the fall and preceding summer semester. The May ceremony is for students completing degree requirements in the spring semester. Information regarding the ceremony, purchasing caps, gowns, hoods, and ordering announcements will be sent to all degree candidates.
