Education: Social Studies & History

"One of my favorite courses I took was American Immigration. Not only did we analyze how immigration impacted America in the past and the present, but we also did a Service-Learning Project where the infographics we created about the Matewan Massacre were used for an exhibit in a museum.
As someone double majoring in Social Studies and history, I know that the knowledge I have gained from NKU's Department of History will not only impact me, but all the students I have in my future classrooms. By documenting and recounting history, humankind seeks to understand itself by examining the actions of those who came before the present generation."

  • Career Connections: NKU has more and better connections with local schools and districts than any other university in the region. In addition to knowledge for and experience in the classroom, you鈥檒l leave with valuable connections to help land that first job.
